I was trusted with creating the armor for the new Athkatlan City Guards for
the Path to Menzoberranzan Community Mod for Baldurs Gate 3. I joined there in february as an 3D artist and am also 3D Team Lead since march. I simply love working on this community project and I'm so grateful I can be part of this!

The male bodytype variation is completely made with blendshapes from the original female model, which worked pretty well!
I think the most challenging part was the implementation of the cloth physics and creating new colliders for these in the bg3 Toolkit. There was very little documentation on creating custom cloth colliders, so I spent quite some time setting them up und getting them to work. But it was definiely worth the struggle and will save us some time on later armors!
